Let Them Eat Pie… & Noodles

Noodle & Pie, one of the most exciting new restaurants opened up last year to rave reviews, is still going strong.

The Uptown eatery located at the corner of State Street and Magazine (the old Reginelli’s which has since moved across the street) is the creation of Chef Eman Loubier and Chef Brian Armour.  This Ramen shop also offers fresh and innovative dishes. thaimat stockholm

One of their noteworthy vegetable dishes are the Deep Fried Brussell Sprouts are amazing served with a sweet and sour glaze and garlic chips on a bed of buttered panko bread crumbs.

The dishes travel from the simplistically tasty like the Char Grilled Octopus served on a skewer dusted with herbs and paired with a light tomato sauce to more complexly delicious like the 8-Hour Brisket Bowl served with a garlic and ginger fireball.

The very healthy Vegetarian Bowl is light but filling consisting of charred vegetables and miso broth.  The Shio Crab and Pork Bowl gives the diner an epicurean delight with braised pork belly, chili, charred corn, greens and a soft egg.  To e=finish off your evening, their array of homemade pies is a blending of flavors to tantalize your sweet tooth such as peanut butter and blackberry jam, mocha pecan and Satsuma pumpkin.

On the cocktail side, there are several craft sake cocktails worth investigating as well as a decent sake, wine and beer selection.  They also offer house made sodas like Celery-Cucumber, Spiced Peach and Beet and Orange Shrub.

The atmosphere has an open and airy appeal with a bright crispness that evokes an energetic vibe.  Noodle & Pie is located at 741 State Street; their hours are 5:30 p.m to 10 p.m. every day, staying open later on Fridays and Saturdays.  For more information, check out their website at www.noodleandpie.com.
